Triply Cookware
Cookware Handles: Riveted vs Welded vs Cast - Compared
Handles fail more often than vessels. The joint type decides whether yours lasts decades or loosens in two years.
Riveted
Strongest, most traditional. Rivets mechanically lock handle to vessel. Pros: maximum strength, field-repairable. Cons: crevices need cleaning; premium look varies.
Welded
Clean, modern. Spot or stud welding, smooth interior. Pros: hygienic, sleek. Cons: quality varies hugely - bad welds fail catastrophically; inspect weld consistency.
Cast (one-piece)
Handle cast with the vessel (or heavy cast handles welded). Pros: bombproof, premium feel. Cons: heaviest, most expensive.
Stay-cool design
Regardless of joint: hollow tubular or heat-break designs stay cooler. Solid bar handles conduct heat to your hand - avoid for daily vessels.
