What are tri-ply circles?

A tri-ply circle is a round metal disc made of three bonded layers: food-grade SS304 stainless steel on the food-contact side, a pure aluminium core for heat conduction, and magnetic SS430 stainless steel on the outside. The three metals are roll-bonded at high pressure into a single sheet, then cut into circles.

Cookware factories deep-draw and press these discs into kadhais, tawas, saucepans, pressure cookers and utensils. The disc is literally the starting point of every triply vessel - which is why we named the company after it.

Why manufacturers buy from us: we press these same circles into finished cookware in our own factory. We know the material because we manufacture with it - drawing quality, bond integrity, gauge consistency - not just trade it.

How tri-ply circles are made

Roll bonding, in five steps.

  1. 1

    Material selection

Food-grade SS304, pure aluminium and SS430 sheets, inspected coil by coil.

  2. 2

    Roll bonding

Layers pass through high-pressure rollers, fusing at a molecular level into one clad sheet.

  3. 3

    Heat treatment

Annealing relieves internal stress and stabilises the bond for deep drawing.

  4. 4

    Blanking

Precision cutting into circles - 200 to 500 mm standard, custom on request.

  5. 5

    Finishing & packing

Polished, matte, 2B or BA finish; interleaved and packed for export.

Frequently asked questions

What are tri-ply circles?

Tri-ply circles are clad metal discs - SS304 stainless steel, pure aluminium, and magnetic SS430 stainless steel bonded into one sheet, then cut into circles. Cookware factories deep-draw and press these discs into kadhais, tawas, saucepans and other vessels. They are the raw material of triply cookware.

What sizes and thicknesses of tri-ply circles do you supply?

Typical range is 0.8-3.0 mm thickness and 200-500 mm diameter, with custom sizes on request, in polished, matte, 2B or BA finishes. Share your drawing or target vessel and we will recommend the right blank.

What is the MOQ for bulk and private-label orders?

MOQs depend on the product and customisation - finished cookware and circles have different minimums. Send your requirement through the quote form or WhatsApp for an exact MOQ and lead time.

Is triply good for Indian cooking?

It is ideal for it - deep frying, tadka, slow-simmered dals and curries, biryani layering. The even heat suits high-heat Indian techniques, and every piece works on gas and induction.

How do I know it is genuine full-body triply?

Genuine triply has three layers through the body walls, not just a sandwich base - it feels reassuringly heavy and heats evenly up the sides. Buying directly from the manufacturer, with material specs in writing, is the surest guarantee.
