Tri-Ply Circles

Tri-Ply Circle Surface Finishes: 2B, BA, Mirror & Matte Explained

The finish you order determines the polishing work ahead - and the final look. Know the four standards.

The four finishes

  • 2B: smooth, dull-grey mill finish - the economical default; needs full polishing for mirror cookware
  • BA (bright annealed): reflective, mirror-like from annealing - less polishing needed
  • Mirror (No. 8): highly polished - premium look, highest cost, shows every scratch
  • Matte/brushed: satin texture - hides scratches, modern aesthetic, mid cost

Cost ladder

2B → BA → matte → mirror, each step adding cost. Match finish to your final product: ordering mirror circles for a matte-finish line wastes money.

Specify it

State finish per side (e.g. "BA outer / 2B inner") - cookware often needs different finishes inside and out.
