Triply Cookware
How to Clean Triply Cookware (Keep It New for Years)
Triply lasts decades - but only if you clean it right. Five minutes of correct care beats an hour of rescue scrubbing.
Daily cleaning (2 minutes)
Cool slightly, wash with dish soap + soft sponge, dry immediately. That is 95% of it. Never plunge a screaming-hot pan into cold water - thermal shock warps even triply over time.
Burnt food rescue
Don’t attack with steel wool first. Fill with hot water + a spoon of baking soda, simmer 10 minutes, then scrub with a non-scratch pad. For stubborn carbon: make a paste of baking soda + vinegar, rest 15 minutes, scrub. The steel can take it - patience beats force.
Rainbow stains & white spots
Rainbow discolouration = heat tint, harmless. White spots = mineral deposits from hard water. Both vanish with a wipe of white vinegar or a dedicated stainless cleaner. Dry immediately after to prevent return.
What never to do
- Bleach or chlorine cleaners - pits stainless steel
- Oven cleaner on polished exteriors
- Leaving salty/acidic food sitting for hours
- Steel wool on mirror finishes (use it only inside, sparingly)
Frequently asked questions
Can I use steel wool on triply?
On the interior for stubborn carbon, sparingly. Never on mirror-polish exteriors - it scratches.
How do I remove rainbow stains?
Wipe with white vinegar or stainless steel cleaner - heat tint is cosmetic and harmless.
